An ISEN in Quebec
About me
Junia ISEN student
SUMMER
As a French student at Junia ISEN, studying cybersecurity engineering, I spent a year in Quebec to complete a double degree, a master's in professional computer science. With little interest in literary subjects, I'd never thought of writing a blog, but I do love keeping souvenirs of my adventures and sharing advice with the curious. And so, as part of a competition organized by the ISEN engineers' association, I decided to write this blog, as much to share my experiences as to take up a personal challenge.
Why Canada?
WINTER
In love with American mountainous countries since I was a teenager, I also wanted to test the icy adventure of a winter lasting almost six months at extreme temperatures (for a French guy). Travelling, discovering new cultures and meeting new people - these are the goals I set myself after joining a university on the other side of France. So I didn't hesitate when I heard about the possibility of doing my final year in Canada, in partnership with ISEN. Even if Quebec isn't the best province for working on your English, I found wonderful people, magical landscapes and a very interesting school system. After working in Belgium and visiting the Netherlands and Finland in 4th year, I'm off to Canada for a year.
